COVID 19 Conference

Early this week, National Science Foundation of Sri Lanka announced a proposal for a National Level conference on “COVID -19: Impact, Mitigation, Opportunities and Building Resilience” under the theme “From Adversity to Serendipity” in January 2021.

Professor Ranjith Senaratne, Chairman of the National Science Foundation announcing this proposal states that the aim of this conference is to bring all the key players of the relevant public and private sector institutions under one roof to deliberate and reflect on many aspects of the pandemic, so as to build a robust and resilient economy in Sri Lanka.

As a country Sri Lanka have done remarkably well in this battle against COVID 19 compared to many other developed and non developed countries. The announcement further states that this event will give those different sectors in this battle to discuss their experiences, lessons they learnt, new best practices used, and also many other related things that can be useful to any one in similar battles that might arise in future.

More details of this conference, including the call for papers will be published shortly.
