The Latest Edition of The Sri Lankan Scientist Magazine is Out Now!

The first issue for the fourth volume of the Sri Lankan Scientist Magazine is out now and will be available for purchase from Sarasavi and Vijitha Yapa book shops island wide.

In latest issue of the Sri Lankan Scientist magazine, we cover the 150th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Tea Industry. Many Scientists from the TEA Research Institute and related institutes discuss various aspects of science behind Tea industry in Sri Lanka. In a special article Mr. Rohan Pethiyagoda, Chairman of the Sri Lanka Tea Board discusses about the importance of Research in uplifting the industry through improving the quality and productivity of the tea producing process. 

In another section Dr. Chinthaka de Silva from ITI, explains the importance and the science behind the Nobel price winning LIGO detector which detected gravitational Waves for the first time,  Apart from those few articles there are many scientific articles included in this edition of the magazine.
