Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya – Undergraduate Research Symposium (FAuRS) 2015

The Faculty of Agriculture Undergraduate Research Symposium (FAuRS – 2015)) is scheduled to be held on 1st December 2015. The FAuRS, a concerted effort to provide a common platform for the graduands from eight Departments of Study of the Faculty to present the results of their final year research projects, as an annual event in the Faculty calendar.

The objective of the FAuRS is to provide an opportunity for the graduating students of three degree programmes of the Faculty of Agriculture, namely; the BSc in Agriculture Technology and Management, BSc in Food Science and Technology, and BSc in Animal Science and Fishery to present their research findings to a public audience and share the outcomes with the stakeholders, especially the industry. This also could be a platform for them to be introduced to prospective employers and stakeholders to identify competent and budding graduates that would fit in well to the competitive world of challenges and opportunities.
