National Conference on Insect Vector Biology – 2017 – University of Jaffna

The theme for the first national conference on vector biology which will be organized by the Department of Zoology of the University of Jaffna in 2017 is
“Emerging Challenges in Controlling Insect Vector-borne Diseases in Sri Lanka’”
The theme is designed to address the key challenges faced in controlling the major insect vector-borne diseases in the country. Although the theme is expected to speak about the major insect vector-borne disease in the country, it is not necessarily limited to them. The organizing committee expects the speakers to speak about all the aspects of epidemiology of the vector-borne diseases at national and global scales.
Themes
The conference aims to highlight challenges and strategies related to the control of vector-borne diseases in the country. The researches in various aspects of vector-borne diseases from entomology, animal biology, physiology and virology, are encouraged to present their findings.

Submission guidelines
The title can have maximum of 25 words in Times New Roman (TNR) font, Bold and 14 font size. Author(s) should also include their names with initials and their affiliations along with their email address(es).
Abstract should be followed after the author(s) affiliations and e-mail address(es). It should contain 200 to 250 words in single paragraph. The text should be in font size 12. The spacing is 1.5. It should have three to five keywords.
