5th Annual Scientific Sessions of Sri Lanka Association for Laboratory Animal Science (SLALAS)

Sri Lanka Association for Laboratory Animal Science (SLALAS) is the apex organization dedicated to Laboratory Animal Science in Sri Lanka. SLALAS is committed to promote the ethical use of laboratory animals with the promotion of the “3R concept’ in laboratory Animal Science.
The 5th Annual Academic Sessions of SLALAS will be held on the 25th and 26th of January 2018 in Colombo. The theme of this year’s conference is “3Rs and Beyond: Joining Forces towards Alternatives to Animal Experimentation”.

Dr. Charu Chandrasekera, Executive Director of the Canadian Centre for Alternatives to Animal Methods will be the Keynote speaker while Dr. Suresh Poosala, Group Director, Bristol-Myers Squibb, USA will be a Guest Speaker. Around 60 -70 delegates, mainly scientists involved in experimental research from universities, research institutes and industry, are expected to attend the event along with other eminent international and local speakers.
