Profiles of the speaker and panelists

Prof. Ajantha Dharmasiri  – Prof. Dharmasiri is the Director of the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), University of Sri Jayewardenepura, President of the Institute of Personnel Management (IPM), Sri Lanka and Vice President of the Asia Pacific Federation of Human Resource Management (APFHRM). He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Price College of Business, University of Oklahoma, USA. He is the winner of prestigious IPM Lifetime Gold Award 2014, highest local HR award.

Dr. Shamitha S Dassanayake – He graduated from Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Following the postgraduate training in MD Medicine, he was trained in Kettering General Hospital, Kettering, United Kingdom as a Trust grade Registrar in Geriatric Medicine and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in London in 2016. He worked as an Acting consultant physician at Base Hospital Padaviya since 2012 to 2014. Due to the pioneer work done for patients with Chronic Kidney disease he was awarded as Most Innovative Outstation Physician in year 2013.

Prof. Meththika Vithanage  – Prof. Vithanage is a senior Research Fellow at the National Institute of Fundamental Studies, Kandy, Adjunct Associate Research Professor at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia and a TWAS young affiliate fellow. Her research is focused on soil and water. She has contributed to more than 80 journal articles and 20 book chapters. She is the winner of TWAS-NSF Award (2016) for the best young scientists and SUSRED award (2016) for research supervision.

Dr. Dilantha Dharmagunewardene  – Dr. Dharmagunewardene is the Director, training at Education, Training and Research Unit of Ministry of Health. He is an alumni of Colombo Medical Faculty. He completed M.Sc. (Medical Administration) in 2007. He obtained his M.D. (Medical Administration) in 2013 and completed a fellowship in Tan Tock Seng Hospital in Singapore for his Post MD Training. He is now a board certified consultant in Medical Administration.
