BIOINFORMATICS WORKSHOP “Eukaryotic Pathogen Database Usage”
September 8, 2015 - September 10, 2015
This is a distance learning, non-residential workshop conducted by Eukaryotic Pathogen Database (EuPathDB) staff and leading scientists in the world together with local instructors. The lectures will be conducted and online training will be provided by international experts using virtual presentation software.
EuPathDB (EuPathDB.org), an NIH/NIAID-supported Bioinformatics Resource Center (BRC) based in the United States of America provides the global scientific community with access to genomic-scale datasets related to key eukaryotic pathogens (Fungi, Plasmodium, Cryptosporidium, Giardia, Leishmania, etc.). In addition to genome sequences, this resource houses a variety of functional genomics data (RNA sequence, polymorphism data, proteomics, metabolic pathways etc.), allowing researchers to identify and prioritize targets for further experimental analysis in the lab.
This course is being organized and hosted by the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka.
