With the prime objective of establishing a high-end biotech product development ecosystem together with increased exports, SLIBTEC is focusing to invest on diverse areas in order to provide biotech related solutions to contemporary and future nationally and globally important aspects.
SLIBTEC comprises of two components, SLIBTEC Research, a state-of-the-art multidisciplinary research facility; and SLIBTEC Park, to facilitate the manufacture of high-end biotech products within a one-stop-shop for regulatory support. SLIBTEC will also expand its capacity as a Regional Research Centre for the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) having unique facilities within the institute.
