reign scientists, who represented their respective organizations and
shared their best wishes with the SLAYS community.
The conference started with opening remarks by the Senior Scientists, who admired the achievements of SLAYS and the progress it has made over the years.
The audience was then treated to a series of short scientific communication competitions called 3MT (3 Minute Thesis) where young scientists had the opportunity to showcase their research in just three minutes. The competition was highly competitive, but the winners were awarded for their outstanding
performance.
The conference also featured a series of talks by distinguished guests from various institutes. The talks covered a wide range of topics related to science and technology and provided the audience with valuable insights and inspiration.
The event was made possible by the generous support of its sponsors, including Nippon Paint and Twinery (Innovations by MAS). The sponsors’ contributions allowed the conference to take place and provided a platform for young scientists to showcase their research and exchange ideas with their peers.
The Sri Lankan Scientist Magazine had a special invitation to report the event on behalf of the science community. Photo curtesy : SLAYS
