The 5th International Conference on Nano Science and Nanotechnology 2018 (ICNSNT 2018) (nanoconference.co) was held on 13th & 14th December 2018 at Hotel Taj Samudra Colombo, Sri Lanka for the fifth consecutive year with the participation of 50 local and foreign delegates representing more than 15 diverse countries all around the world under the theme “Nano science and Nanotechnology Interdisciplinary Approach for Innovation and Invention”.
The Conference was organized by The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM) with the support of the Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy, Sri Lanka as the Supporting Ministry. The Hosting Partner of ICNSNT 2018 was Faculty of Engineering, International Islamic University Malaysia in collaboration with Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, University of Tulsa, USA & Oklahoma Photovoltaic Research Institute (OKPVRI), USA as the Academic partners. Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB) was the Strategic partner while The Sri Lankan Scientist, Medical Events Guide & My Dear Drone provided support as Media partners of ICNSNT 2018.
The Conference was chaired by Prof. K. M. Nalin de Silva, Professor of Chemistry, from University of Colombo and Science Team Leader from Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology (SLINTEC), Sri Lanka while the Keynote forum was presented by Dr. Gareth Williams, fromUniversity College London, United Kingdom& Prof. G.R.A. Kumara fromNational Institute of Fundamental Studies, Sri Lanka& Prof. Nilanga Liyanage, Professor of Physics, University of Virginia, United States.
The Significant feature of ICNSNT 2018 was theWorkshop on “Advanced Materials in Pharmaceutics” done by Dr. Gareth Williams from University College London, United Kingdom.
The main objective of the Conferences organized by TIIKM is to create a platform that is of significant importance for researchers and practitioners in relation to the respective subject to present their researches and expertise with the view of constructing a future nurtured with useful knowledge leading towards the emergence of solutions to global issues.
